Tasty Roast Beef

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup, optional
  • ¾ soup can water, optional
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • 1 Tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1 (4-5 lb.) roast
  1. Mix the sauce ingredients well and pour on roast. I usually rub the salt and pepper directly onto the roast. Sometimes I add raw potatoes, carrots, and celery for a delicious one-dish meal.
  2. Bake in a covered roasting dish at 350 degrees for 3-4 hours, or put everything in your slow cooker and cook on low for 8- 10 hours.
